NEWS
02.03.10 -
We have some great news!
The People's Temple 7" IS FINALLY off to press! We will be patiently awaiting the test pressings in the next couple of weeks!
We're still trying to figure out a reasonable way to get the covers done... any printers out there get in touch!
Also, Alicja just sent us the final mixes and artwork for her new "Alicja-Pop" 7" on Certified PR Records! Over the last couple of months or so we've heard a few different mixes of this record leading up to this finished amazing masterpiece.
Seriously, this record is going to be soooo good.
We can't hardly wait!
And.... I KNOW - MORE, RIGHT?!?!
"Donkey Song" from the John Wesley Coleman III "Steal My Mind" LP on Certified PR will appear on the next Sailor Jerry Rum compilation cd.
Look for a copy at your favorite adult establishment this spring!
In the meantime, head over to the 12" mailorder section and grab one today!
I've been adding more new titles to the 7" mailorder section!
01.10.09 -
We have just added some new titles to the 7" mailorder section!
Some of the new additions include LEFTOVER COPIES OF THE REACHAROUNDS "ROCKS OFF" 7" EP!!!
That's right...
This is not a repress, rather left over "extra records" from each pressing - coupled with "left over alternative silkscreened covers". Example: You could get a black record with a blue and white colored cover, or a green colored vinyl with a black and white cover... Confusing?!?! I know, but what this simply means, is that there are a few remaining Reacharounds records left if you want one.
Also added to the mailorder is the recently acquired remaining Kryptonite Records back catalog.
Over the years Wendy used the paper sleeves from these records, so I had to put new ones on them. The cheapo xeroxed papers "have character" (not used, but not new looking).
Some of the vinyl records were dusty and I had to clean them, but I played a few and they sound pretty good. Not MINT condition, but not bad.... "EXCELLENT" in a "The Mummies: Play Their Own Records LP" kinda way!
Now is your chance to get some classic 1990's/early 2000's garage rock classics for a fair price!
Also, we added a bunch of Black Lips OOP 7"'s. We usually had ordered 5-7 of each of the Vice Records singles when they came out. I guess each one was limited to 1,000. We have a few left over copies for sale. Get them while they last, there are 2 or 3 copies of each left.
We will be listing a lot more 7" records later this week!
Oh yeah... we'll also be auctioning off a few records on eBay this week...
Keep checkin' back!

A quick year in review...
(and our Top 10 LISTS for 2009)
This past year was a really good one for us here at Certified PR.
Most importantly, after dating for over 7 years, Kimmie and I got married this year on 9-9-9!
Shortly after returning home from our Disney honeymoon we found out that we will expecting our first child - a baby boy named Charlie, due in spring! I've been a Scat Rag Boosters fan for years, so I've been telling people he is named after a song on one of their records, "Charlie's Dirt Road". Ironically the b-side of that record is called "Mommy"...
During the last 12 months we worked hard to deliver 5 AWESOME RELEASES... Including two 7" records, our first CD and our first two LP's!
We have plenty of GREAT projects lined up for 2010, including an amazing EP from The People's Temple, a cool Derek Lyn Plastic record and (in our opinion) THE BEST ALICJA TROUT RECORD EVER... We're soooo excited to finally be working with Alicja that we can hardly sleep at night! Her stunning rendition of the Daniel Johnston classic "Walking The Cow" is absolutely amazing!
We made our annual trip to Austin Texas this past March for SXSW. We saw so many good bands including Brimstone Howl, Intelligence, TV Ghost, Hunx and his Punx, Blank Dogs, Lover!, River City Tanlines, Vivian Girls, Pink Noise, Dead Luke, Tyvek, The Pets, The Oh Sees, Strange Boys, Ty Segall, Nobunny and many many more!
I think our favorite part of the whole week was the closing festivites at the annual Mess With Texas event held at Waterloo Park. The Black Lips headlined the free all day concert in front of 1,000's of fans. Circle Jerks played right before The Black Lips just as the sun was going down. Perfect atmosphere, great sound... almost too good to be true!
The week before SXSW we had a chance to catch up with our friends King Khan and Alix Brown. The Shrines and Golden Triangle came to Eckerd College in St. Petersburg and played a free outdoor show for the spring breakers. Both bands were amazing and played one of the best shows we have been to in a long time!
A big CPR thank you to Rich at Floridas Dying. Earlier this month he had Jay Reatard play at his record shop, Vinyl Richie's Wiggly World Of Records. Imagine this... shopping for records at a store that only stocks quality releases, while drinking beer and eating free hotdogs and then stepping outside to watch Jay Reatard (with members of the Cola Freaks) play in a parking lot! Early December, nice weather in beautiful Orlando Florida... PRICELESS!!!
The Sonic Chicken 4 playing The Emerald Bar in St. Pete was a great time. I'll never forget them playing "Midnight Girl" just for me!
Getting to hang out with Digital Leather in Tampa was cool too.
Those dudes sure can drink a lot!
We also hosted a handul of shows this year, including record release shows for Plexi 3 and John Wesley Coleman! All of the bands that stayed at our house this year were cool and we met a bunch of awesome people that we are glad to call our friends!
These were just a few of the many exciting things we did in 2009.
We hope everyone had as much fun as we did this past year. We look forward to seeing all of our family and friends in 2010. Have a great new year, be safe and buy some our records!!!
